Testing the regulatory and legal framework for the organization of socio-economic development monitoring (through the example of the Kamchatka region)

Abstract

Aim. The presented study aims to develop practical recommendations for improving the organization of regional monitoring of the social and economic development of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation.

Tasks. The author analyzes the theoretical aspects of the regulatory framework for monitoring the socio-economic development of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation; identifies several problems in the organization of such monitoring; develops conceptual mechanisms for improving its organization.

Methods. This study uses the methods of observation, synthesis, deduction, generalization, description, and factor analysis.

Results. Recommendations for improving the organization of regional monitoring of social and economic development are developed and proposed, such as using an automated system in the daily operations of executive government bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Conclusion. Considering the results of the study, the author believes that in the future it should be possible to create a unified monitoring system at the regional level, synchronize monitoring indicators, and simplify the monitoring system.
